Noel Rowsell reports Colin Price has joined the Razorbacks while Patrick
Anderson has joined the Brisbane Spinning Bullets. It is believed
Anderson, the undisputed superstar of international wheelchair basketball,
will undoubtedly lift the Spinning Bullets out the competition cellar.

Boccia
The
2006 Boccia National Championships in Perth were a great success with
teams from QLD, NSW, VIC, WA & NZ competing. An undefeated QLD
team won Gold. Next year Boccia Australia hopes to welcome Tasmania
and South Australia to the Championships being held in Melbourne.
An international team of nine is presently preparing to compete at
FESPIC in November.
Cue
Sports
WSA will not be conducting a Cue Sports National
Championships in 2006 as the Australian Eight Ball Federation will
for the first time this year include a division for athletes with
a disability at their National Championships. This event will be held
in the Northern Territory from 11 October - 21 October. This decision
by WSA supports the principle of mainstreaming. For further information

2006 Chris
Handy Cup
In another very close Chris Handy Cup series, New Zealand defeated
Australia 3 matches to 2 to retain their hold on the trophy. The Australian
team pushed the World Number 1 ranked Kiwis hard all the way, with
very tight games earmarking the tournament and with the series being
decided in the final match.
Australian Team
Coach Evan Bennett was pleased with the performance of the Australian
team noting that the team is definitely on the improve with each game
being played at great pace, with close scoring and either team could
have won at any time.
The next competition
stop for the Australian team is the World Championships to be played
in Christchurch, NZ, from the 7-17 September.
