The Wheelchair Sports Australia Archery National Championships will be held in conjunction with the 58th Australian Archery Championships 2nd - 9th April 2005, Melbourne, Victoria. To be hosted by Archery Victoria Inc. & Diamond Valley archers. The IPC have just accepted Italy's bid to host the IPC World Championships for 2005. They will be held from 24th September to 4th October 2005. No bids for the 2007 Championships have been received to date. Basketball - Osaka Cup Australia finished a credible second behind Canada at the Osaka Cup and three of the team's members were named in the tournaments All Star Five Andrew Flavell, Shaun Norris & Tristan Knowles. - U23 Selection Camp A selection camp will be held from Friday 4 March - Sunday 6 March at the Sydney Academy of Sport Narrabeen for the U23 team to attend the Asia Oceania Zone Qualifying Tournament to be held in Malaysia from 28 March - 2 April. - Referee Appointments The Wheelchair Basketball Australia Technical Committee has made the following referee appointments for the first half of the year. Nigel Wiggins - IWBF Asia Oceania JQT in Malaysia Barry Spicer - 4 Nations Tournament in Great Britain. Boccia The Boccia National Championships will be held from 7-10 July 2005 at the Northern Beaches Indoor Centre, Sydney, NSW. Fencing A number of Fencing World Cups will be held over the next twelve months including: -

Handcycling The Handcycling Nationals will be held March 12-13 2005 in Perth, visit www.handcycling.org.au for further information. Powerlifting Queensland Sporting Wheelies will host the IPC Powerlifting Nationals to be held in Brisbane on 19 March 2005. Swimming The Excell Committee intends to send a team to the USA National Paralympic Championships to be held in Portland during July 2005. It is anticipated a team of 10-12 swimmers together with 3-4 staff members will attend the Championships. David Hall won his ninth Australian Wheelchair Tennis Open, defeating
Robin Ammerlaan 5-7 6-3 6-3 at Melbourne Park. Hall, retained his
world No.1 ranking after pulling out a 19 career victory over his
