Australian team wins 8 medals - IBD World Championships

The Wheelchair Sports Australia team who competed at the International Bowls for the Disabled 2007 World Championships won a total of eight medals, including two gold, at the Championships that concluded in Sydney on Friday.
 
The Wheelchair Sports Australia team coached by Jan Palazzi and Arlene Foley performed extremely well and proved to be very compatible.

Gold  Men’s Pairs Peter Henry (NSW) & Chris Randell (VIC)
Silver Men’s Pairs Vic Dagley (QLD) & Bernie Wolland (QLD)
Silver Men’s Triples David Bailey (SA), Josh Barry (VIC)
& Stephen Lockey (QLD)
Bronze Ladies Pairs Jillian Cupples (NSW) & Joanne Hunter (NSW)
Bronze Ladies Triples Jillian Cupples (NSW), Joanne Hunter (NSW)
 & Cathy Vluggen (SA)
Bronze Men’s Singles Stephen Lockey (QLD)
Bronze Men’s Fours David Bailey (SA), Josh Barry (VIC),
Vic Dagley (QLD) and Bernie Wolland (QLD)

The Australian team played teams from twelve countries including New Zealand, Scotland, Wales, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Korea.
