The International Bowls for the Disabled 2007 World Championships commence in Sydney today, 17 October, 2007.

The Wheelchair Sports Australia team coached by Jan Palazzi and Arlene Foley arrived in Sydney on Monday, managed to practice in Sydney’s Tuesday heat to familiarise themselves with the run of the greens and will attend today’s Opening Ceremony to be held in Manly on Sydney’s northern beaches.

The Australian men’s team will play over the next nine days at the North Manly Bowling Club and consists of:

The Australian team will play teams from countries including New Zealand, Scotland, Wales, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Korea in a mixtures of singles, pairs, triples and fours.
